Khalifa Bin Zayed The First

Khalifa Bin Zayed the First: He is Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the eldest son of Sheikh Zayed the First, and he is Sheikh Zayed Bin Khalifa Bin Shakhbout Al Nahyan, ruler of Abu Dhabi (1855-1909). He abstained from ruling after the death of his father, so his brother Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed (1909-1912) ruled Abu Dhabi. He settled in the Al Muwaiji Oasis in the city of Al Ain, located in the eastern region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and was there as a representative of the ruler, and practiced the judiciary between the disputing people of the people, He was a scholar, poet and writer. He left many poems that are memorized by the narrators. He cared a lot about agriculture and maintained and organized the aflaj, and established many farms and orchards. He dug many wells in the different regions of Abu Dhabi, one of which is known as Bida Khalifa. He left one of his sons, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa. The father of Sheikhs Hamdan, Mubarak, Tahnoun, Sorour, Saif and Saeed died in 1946 and was buried in Al Ain.
